Nancy Bergman
Master Music Arranger
of a cappella barbershop style music

Nancy Bergman is the "NancyB" of Nancy B Music. Her barbershop educational services are acclaimed far and wide. Her music library is known for its excellence in singability and true barbershop style.

Nancy began her musical association with Sweet Adelines in 1951 under the guidance of Floyd Connett, mentor and quartet coach. In 2002, she was honored with the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award for 50+ years of devoted service to Sweet Adelines as a quartet singer (Mississippi Misses, Queen of Harmony), chorus director, music educator, judge, international faculty, international board of directors, and managing director of the Sweet Adelines headquarters office (1957-1968).

Many fine quartets and choruses have enjoyed the success of singing Nancy Bergman barbershop editions on the competition stage and in performance. How many of you have enjoyed some of her classics like At LastIf You Love Me Really Love MeBandstand In Central Park (a NancyB original), You Turned The Tables On MeShanghai, Angry/Bill BaileyCry BabyI Can't Give You Anything But Love MedleysI Got Rhythm MedleyHe Was There (a NancyB original), This Joint Is Jumpin'Lulu's Back In TownRed Hot! (a NancyB original), Runnin' WildYa Gotta Know How To Love, and many others? Nancy has helped many, many choruses and quartets sing barbershop style. And she's not finished yet!

As an International Faculty member, Nancy can offer a variety of customized classes upon invitation, and specializes in regional barbershop workshops. Her many years as a chorus director, perennial quartet singer, and judge in Music and Sound categories, uniquely qualify her for chorus and quartet coaching...if you can manage to get on her calendar!

Although Nancy's main focus is designing music for the members of Sweet Adelines International and other women's barbershop harmony organizations throughout the world, the gentlemen of the barbershop world also appreciate her adaptations to their deeper voiced resonance.
